Climate Risk Valuation
What’s the problem?
Central Governments struggle politically to prioritise climate change; short term challenges dominate the agenda. Though the private sector and local governments are taking the lead, there is growing evidence to suggest that neither public nor private sector organisations are preparing adequately for the likely potential impacts from extreme weather and a changing climate. A significant barrier to action is a lack of robust quantifiable metrics, without which justifiable action is impossible. An increasing number of influential bodies, including the Bank of England and Bloomberg, are calling for investors, asset managers, lenders, insurers and all those with long-term interests to ensure that their risks are minimised. |
What’s the solution?
We can help you quantify the scale and likelihood of risk that extreme weather and a changing climate poses to your organisation. This evidence - having a clear understanding your potential vulnerabilities and the cost-benefit of adaptation responses - is critical to the justification of pro-action. This is new territory, but we’re ahead of the curve and you can be too. These global threats can seem overwhelming, and those who talk only of opportunity and not of risk are only seeing half the picture, but there is certainly the opportunity to demonstrate you are doing all you can to re-position your organisation and secure its future.
